I have a doubt that I think doesn't fit in any of the existing topics, so I decided to make one to ask it. This can also help other english speaking members to ask theirs in the future.

By the way:I was reading the chapter Freshwater sea of Asia and saw this phrase in the description of the Baikal hard-beaked dolphin: "Only a few species of dolphin survived from the entire Order."
Does it means that beyond the Baikal one, another dolphin could have survived in freshwater?
I'm really curious with this possibility. By the way, it's an excellent chapter. Made me remember of a documentary about the wildlife of Russia that I watched in 2018.

True, but the Honey possum of Australia also only eats nectar and pollen, but the flowers aren’t present all time of the year in the part of Australia where they live. So they enter in torpor when there isn't enough food. Then, this species of rodent could have this same strategy, or also be omnivorous. During the blossoming period, it eat mostly nectar of the flowers. When autumn arrives, it start to eat fruits and insects. In the end of the autumn, this animal hibernates through winter.

But note that feeding on nectar and on fruits and especially insects may require different structures of teeth, tongue and maybe even jaws, let alone different (to certain degree) digestive systems (the difference would concern mostly enzymes, and anatomy to lesser degree).

Yes. This is why I was re-thinking this animal. In this case, they would not be like the honey possum, but more like the sugar glider, with a seasonally adaptive omnivorous diet. For example, in spring they would feed on pollen and nectar, in summer they would also eat insects, in autumn there will be fruits and sap. When winter arrives, they hibernate or enter in torpor.
